Biography
Al Conti is a GRAMMY®-nominated, award-winning composer, producer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist recognized as one of the leading talents in the New Age music genre. With a career spanning nearly two decades, his evocative compositions have reached global audiences across streaming platforms, film, television, and retail spaces—amassing millions of plays, including over two million on Spotify alone.

A lifelong artist and actor, Conti transitioned into music composition after answering a creative calling that led to his debut album, Shadows. Since then, his dedication to musical excellence and storytelling has resulted in a distinguished catalog of work celebrated for its emotional depth, cultural richness, and cinematic scope.

His final studio album, MYSTIC, was four years in the making and represents a deeply personal spiritual journey. It debuted at #1 on the Zone Music Reporter (ZMR) Charts, received two ZMR Lifestyle Music Awards nominations, and won Best World Album. Featuring collaborations with renowned artists such as Charlee Brooks (David Arkenstone), Pamela Copus (2002), Ricky Kej, and Jeff Pearce, MYSTIC blends global influences with immersive sound design—an achievement Conti considers his most accomplished to date.

Conti's prior works have also garnered significant acclaim. His album The Blue Rose reached #1 on the ZMR Top 100 chart for two consecutive months and ranked #3 on the ZMR Airplay Chart for 2013. His 2010 release, Northern Seas, earned a GRAMMY® nomination, was named one of Amazon’s Top 10 Best New Age Albums of the year, and peaked at #2 on the ZMR chart. Earlier, Scheherazade held the #1 spot on the ZMR chart for three consecutive months, earned four ZMR Lifestyle Music Award nominations including Album of the Year, and won Best World Album. Conti's earlier album Poeta was featured by NPR in its fundraising campaign, and the track “Quest for Orpheus” received a “Best of 2007” award from Mystic Soundscapes Radio.

Beyond music, Conti is committed to social causes. He has supported HIV/AIDS awareness through the Until There’s A Cure foundation, joining voices with celebrities including Kevin Bacon, Jessica Alba, and Shelley Morrison. He is also a member of Artists for Human Rights, founded by actress Anne Archer.

Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Conti was raised in a family with deep artistic roots—his grandfather was a concert pianist, his mother a professional ballerina, and his father an architect, poet, and academic. His lineage includes the notable Argentine writer and politician Miguel Cané, and through his mother, he is related to the Necchi family, founders of the historic Necchi sewing machine company.

An accomplished actor as well, Conti has appeared on television productions such as As The World Turns, in films, and in numerous stage, radio, and commercial productions. He has lived across South America, Europe, and the United States, and now resides in New York’s Hudson Valley and Manhattan with his husband and manager, Kevin, and their beloved dog, Digby.
